롯데갤러리는 2025년 새로운 계절을 기다리며 <바람이 불어오는 곳 : The Wind Blows, Hope Begins>展을 준비했습니다.
이번 전시는 가수 故 김광석의 명곡 '바람이 불어오는 곳'에서 영감을 받아 기획하게 되었습니다.
새로운 시작을 앞두고 느끼는 설렘과 희망을 자연에 빗댄 서정적 노랫말과 경쾌한 멜로디는 인생의 새로운 출발을 고민하는 이들에게 큰 울림을 줍니다.
유난히 추웠던 지난겨울을 보내며 봄의 따스한 온기를 닮은 작가 이진영과 ART PPL (creations)의 작품으로 롯데백화점 공간을 곳곳을 채웠습니다.
#이진영작가 는 사진이라는 매체를 출발점으로 다양한 재료의 실험과 확장을 통해 작업과정에서 발견되는 또 다른 가능성이 주는 유연함을 포착합니다.
작가는 '세상에 완전히 새로운 것은 없다. 원래부터 그 자리에 있었으나 몰랐던 것, 다만 내가 보지 못했던 어떤 것과의 만남으로부터 나의 작업은 시작된다'
라고 말하며, 이번 신작에서는 보여주는 식물, 꽃, 하늘, 구름 등의 자연 풍경을 주요 소재로 사용합니다. 작가로서의 ‘상상력’과 실험 과정에서 새롭게 찾은
'방법'이 긴밀하게 상호작용하는 과정 속 발견과 감동을 작품에 고스란히 담았습니다.
Lotte Gallery presents the exhibition <The Wind Blows, Hope Begins> to welcome a new season in 2025. This exhibition was inspired
by the late singer Kim Kwang seok’s iconic song “The Place Where the Wind Blows.” The poetic lyrics and uplifting melody, which
metaphorically express the excitement and hope for a fresh beginning, deeply resonate with those contemplating new chapters in life.
As we bid farewell to an exceptionally cold winter, the warm spirit of spring fills the spaces of Lotte Department Store with works by
artist Lee Jinyoung and the creative team ART PPL(creations).
#JinyoungLee starts her work with photography and explores various materials through experimental processes, capturing the flexibility
that comes from discovering new possibilities. She states, “Nothing in this world is entirely new. My work begins with encounters with
things that have always existed but went unnoticed by me.” Her latest works showcase natural landscapes featuring plants, flowers, skies,
and clouds, embodying the harmony between the artist’s imagination and the creative methods discovered during her experimental process.
